Prison Ministry

This outreach brings encouragement, hope and a connection point to men and women who are incarcerated.  We conduct Bible studies and worship services through regular visits to various facilities in Connecticut.

Evangelism

Bringing the Good News of Jesus Christ to the poor is at the heart of who we are as a church.  Volunteers from GCIC carry the Gospel to the streets.  Teams visit hospitals and shelters with words of healing.  During the summer, our church family holds outdoor services in various Hartford neighborhoods, presenting the Gospel through music, drama and testimonies of the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.

Youth Challenge of Connecticut

GCIC grew out of and maintains a close relationship with Youth Challenge of CT, which operates a residential program for men dealing with life-controlling problems, especially substance abuse.  At YC, the incentive to forsake the destructive lifestyle of addiction in order to pursue a new way of life is instilled.  The program, located in Hartford, includes counseling, classes and group activities.
Families and friends of YC students are welcomed at GCIC and encouraged to participate in all of our ministries and outreaches. More information about YC and be found at youthchallenge.org.
